Three .. two… one …launch!!! A few days ago on 14 th of July at 2:35 pm a thrilling news was circulated which was supposed to be a proud and inspiring moment for all Indians. It was the launch of a meticulously designed space craft ‘Chandrayaan 3’ at Sriharikota.
ISRO or the Indian space research organisation has launched the third exploration mission to the moon. ISRO is the dignity of India. It has launched numerous space crafts and satellites with 116 successful missions and taken India to a next level with their knowledge in astrophysics , space exploration and atmospheric sciences . ISRO has made many important discoveries because of its victorious missions to mars and the moon.
The mission Mangalyaan was a huge success and India became the first ever Asian country to launch a rocket to mars.The astounding fact is that this mission was successful in the first try with a very minimal budget of 450 crore making it the least expensive mission to mars till date.
Let’s jump back to the present the recent launch of Chandrayaan3 is determined to have a soft landing on the moon, testing the rover abilities and conducting experiments on the materials available on the surface of the moon. It’s a nail biting situation whether the new rover pragyan and the lander Vikram will lead us to triumphant. Indians have come a long way in space science all thanks to the talented and cerebral space scientists of ISRO and earned a spot in the hall of fame.This makes me proud to say that I am an Indian.
