About ISTSE Exams

​INDIAN SPACE TALENT SEARCH EXAM or ISTSE is a Nationwide online test conducted by Antariksh Society India under its AntarikshVeer project to promote space education, identify talent and mentor bright minds. Students from Class 3 to 10 can participate in grade/ class wise category.

ISTSE was started in 2020 by Antariksh Society India with the aim to reach out to students with an opportunity to explore and learn about Space and Astronomy.

ISTSE is your Gateway to ONE YEAR Aspirational program called 'AntarikshVeer'. The selected candidates will be mentored for Space Science and Astronomical Careers with online and offline workshops, projects including a free 3 Days Residential Jr Fellow Astronaut Mission Camp conducted by formal ISRO Space Tutors, Educators and guidance from Sr ISRO Scientists, NASA STEM Educators and Space Engineers from India's Top Private Space Companies. It will be organized at our Antariksh Vigyan Kendra at Terranova Camps site near Mumbai or an Outdoor location in India. The Training program cost of INR 85,000 is fully funded by Antariksh Society India and FREE of COST to the selected candidates from National Round.

ISTSE Features and Benefits

  • Only Indians and students of Indian Origin from any State /National / International boards in India or globally studing in Class/Grades 3 to 10 are eligible to apply. 

  • 30 Mins, 20 MCQs type online exam. 

  • Exam can be attempted at any time on any of the alloted dates using Laptop/Mobile from Home/School

  • ENTRANCE QUALIFIER EXAM is FREE of COST for Antariksh Club Members

  • Get the prestigious 'National AntarikshVeer Qualifier' personalised Certificate

  • Top 100 District winners will get an additional Special Certificate and optionally participate in 2 days Antariksh Space Camp at our cenre at Neral, Nr Mumbai (Travel and Stay to be arranged by the parents)

  • Top 5 State Level winners and Top 10 National Winners will also receive an EXCLUSIVE Recommendation letter with cover note to aid Sponsorship for NASA Study Tour. ( Details will be personally shared with the winners)

  • Top 3 winners from Category A and B will get pass for Jr Astronaut Training along with 1 parent at Antariksh Vigyan Kendra, Neral Near Mumbai

  • Top 3 Winners from Category C and D will get access to TearrHab and 3 days Jr Fellow Astronaut Missions Training Camp at Antariksh Vigyan Kendra, Neral Near Mumbai

  • AntarikshVeer - ISTSE exam is a progressive 4 levels exam only of its kind globally. 

  • All Students from class 3 to 10 are enchouraged to particiate regardless of academic marks

  • Entrance Qualifier Exam Registration is FREE OF COST to Antariksh Club members 

  • Every category will have winners and be receiving the benefits and rewards as mentioned for each level.

ISTSE Mains online Exam Registration Process: 

  • Registration will be open from 1st of January 2026

  • Entrance Qualifier Round Dates are as mentioned above 

  • Please create site login with Students Name only as the same will automatically appear on all Certificates. 

  • All details related to exam syllabus, pattern will be available on registration.

  • Please Note: Students joining the Space Ambassadors program will get 10 marks as guesture for creating the awareness for Space Science.
