About ISTSE Exams

​INDIAN SPACE TALENT SEARCH EXAM or ISTSE is a Nationwide online test conducted by Antariksh Society India under its AntarikshVeer project to promote space education, identify talent and mentor bright minds. Students from Class 3 to 10 can participate in grade/ class wise category.

ISTSE was started in 2020 by Antariksh Society India with the aim to reach out to students with an opportunity to explore and learn about Space and Astronomy.

ISTSE is your Gateway to ONE YEAR Aspirational program called 'AntarikshVeer'. The selected candidates will be mentored for Space Science and Astronomical Careers with online and offline workshops, projects including a free 3 Days Residential Jr Fellow Astronaut Mission Camp conducted by formal ISRO Space Tutors, Educators and guidance from Sr ISRO Scientists, NASA STEM Educators and Space Engineers from India's Top Private Space Companies. It will be organized at our Antariksh Vigyan Kendra at Terranova Camps site near Mumbai or an Outdoor location in India. The Training program cost of INR 85,000 is fully funded by Antariksh Society India and FREE of COST to the selected candidates from National Round.

Exam Levels and Benefits

Contest Exam Structure

  • AntarikshVeer - ISTSE exam is a progressive 4 levels exam only of its kind globally. 

  • All Students from class 3 to 10 are enchouraged to particiate regardless of academic marks

  • Entrance Qualifier Exam Registration is FREE OF COST to Antariksh Club members 

  • Every category will have winners and be receiving the benefits and rewards as mentioned for each level.

E 2: District Level: JUNE 20th and 21st

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
ISTSE 2026 Entrance Level Exam Update:​

  • Exam for all four categories will be open from 31st May 2026 (10am) to 1st June 2026 (5pm) 

  • All categories will have same paper but wiegtage will be given based on how mant total corret answers made for every category 

  • Students must attempt min 15MCQs and solve as many questions

  • System will automatically evaluate number of attempetd questions, right answers, and time taken to submit.

  • Appear only for your category/ std.

  • Exam is online using a link and can be accessed by PC/Laptop/Tablet/Mobile phone

  • Please login with the email ID registred will enrollment

  • Please go to My Profile and ensure your name is mentioned correctly as on your school ID card. The automatic certificate will carry this name only and cannot be changed.

  • After completion of exam you will instatntly receive the Certificate in your email. Download and save it.

  • ONLY STUDENTS WHO QUALIFY FOR THE NEXT LEVEL (TOPPER RANKS) WILL NE NOTIFIED.

EXAM LINK WILL BE ACTIVE BELOW DURING THE EXAM DATES FROM 10AM OF 31sT MAY TILL 5PM OF 1ST JUNE 2026.

Students who are quilified for the next round will be contacted via email and/or whatsapp by 28th of June 2026.
